Educate-Me: The Power of People

(Courtesy to those hundreds of people who made Educate-Me happen)

2 years ago, a couple of young Egyptians had a dream: to establish an independent legal framework under which they can serve their country, and a Community Development Center in the underprivileged area where Educate-Me serves. It seemed a little too farfetched, yet a year later, the first dream came true, and today, the second did!
Looking back at how this happened so fast, I could only find one secret ingredient: people, and the power of people!

People who were so invested in the cause to the extent that it never had to surrender to the status quo; never ran out of resources, or most importantly, out of energy. People who believed they can, and should change their world, and that of others. People who started with what they had, and didn’t bother about what they didn’t, who never waited for Governmental Policies or bureaucratic approvals to go on and do what they dreamed of. Those who started with themselves, and those around them.

If you are one of those people who says that Educate-Me grew so much so fast right in front of your own eyes then give yourself a pat on the back, coz people like you are those who made it happen: those who were generous with their time, money or simple motivational words, coz believe it or not: that’s the fuel that feeds our souls throughout our journey.

And that’s not all. Having achieved that has only encouraged us to aim for more, and we have taken an oath within ourselves to work towards a much bigger dream; a dream of changing the World through an Education that empowers dreams and takes on the responsibility of making them happen. A dream that is much bigger than any of us, but not too big for all of us. A dream we hope to share with anyone who believes in it. A dream that makes our days worth living.

“It is our deepest belief that humanity has at least one desire in common regardless of ethnicity, gender, age or background - the desire to be happy” ~ Mohamed Ramadan, Director of Innovations, Educate-Me
