My Autobiography - Introduction

At the age of 14; I dreamed about being a National Level Basketball Player.
At the age of 15; I wanted to become a Pharmacist.
At the age of 16; I thought about joining Business School so I would play Basketball more and study less.
At the age of 17; I joined the Faculty of Engineering, targeting Tele-Communications Department.
At the age of 18; I believed that University and Work are de-correlated. And to avoid wearing myself out; I joined Systems and Bio-Medical Engineering.
At the age of 22; I strived to become independent so I took a field job that required constant travelling and no strings attached.
At the age of 23; I settled down for the sake of my family and took a more stable job, which I got to love later on.
At the age of 24; I became a workaholic with a chronic slipped disc.
At the age of 25; my dream was to travel the World solo, climb Mount Everest, win as many Basketball Championships as possible, and simply be the best in everything I'm doing.
Finally; at the age of 26: I decided to be HAPPY, and my idea about happiness was not just about achievements, medals and hanging certificates; but rather about making life better for the people around me and contributing to their happiness in the simplest ways; and I couldn’t find anything more precious “at least for me” than my Love and Time to offer. After all, I believe I was brought into life for a reason that I’ve been totally disregarding for the past 26 years.
It amazes me how we can sometimes come all the way from a certain extreme to the other; admitting we’ve been mislead and conceived for as long as we’ve been living, and in a blink of an eye decide to just LET GO: take off our fancy high-heeled shoes, put our sneakers on and jump out of our comforts zones and into the complete unknown. And believe it or not, what’s out there is nothing close to what every single person around us claims it to be. A completely different league where everyone is a Winner.

“Live every day as if it were your last, because one of these days, it will be.”
